Why We Rebuilt sapiendesigns.com in React

The old sapiendesigns.com served us well for a decade. It was hand-written HTML on a solid template, and it did its one job: showing what we do. This year we rebuilt it in Next.js. Not because the technology is fashionable, but for the most practical reason there is: security. Tools that old stop receiving updates, and a site that stops receiving updates slowly becomes a risk. The new site runs on modern, actively maintained technology, and things like the contact form are now handled in a safer way. What we deliberately kept: the layout, the typography, the tone. If you saw the old site, the new one feels like the same place — it just moves now. The right panel tells the story of each section as you scroll, and small things keep breathing even when you stop. That is the standard we hold client work to as well: a redesign should feel like a better version of you, not a different company.
